Norway Dates Announced this Month

Right after we released photos from our research trip to Norway and Stockholm, Sweden, our travelers began asking for dates. We designed a great trip, and then Covid happened.

Since then there are new hotels, offerings, and pricing, and we are confirming availability and adding the final touches to our tour. Stay tuned to our mid month announcement.

Contact us if you are interested in this tour, and we will make sure you are the first to hear when we release the dates.

Embrace Your FOMO?

Ever since I was a little boy, I have had FOMO, the "fear of missing out" syndrome. It manifested itself in a number of ways. I was in just about every scholastic club possible in high school, and tried virtually every sport. I even usually had a hard time falling asleep, not because I had that much on my mind, but more because I didn't want to miss out on anything my family was doing while I was sleeping. My FOMO fed a kind of fluttering attention span, quest for knowledge, and general curiosity. No one was more annoyed at my FOMO than my mother who said I "always needed to be doing something”. She wasn’t wrong.

Once I was older and started traveling, my FOMO doubled. If there was a huge staircase to a castle far away, I was climbing it, no matter how tired I was. If there was something mysterious and foreign on a restaurant menu, that is what I was ordering. If there was an old winding lane, I had to walk down it. You get the picture.

Expect the Unexpected From Post Corona Travel

A lot of people have been asking me what they can expect from traveling, now that the travel world has opened up and countries are inviting tourists once again. Like most others in the industry, this is my first pandemic, and so while there is a lot that is unknown, there are several themes that those of us in the travel industry are seeing.

The biggest thing, as silly as it sounds, is to expect the unexpected. Anyone who has been following travel to a specific destination has noticed that things change dramatically from one day to the next. One day a country is requiring a negative Covid test, and the next day it's quarantine. One day they require proof of vaccine, and the next day they don't.

By and large however, no matter where you're going, it is becoming easier to enter, not harder.
